In the posting below, you didn't say if the people hired from american universities in your department were Canadians or from the U.S., or if you were inquiring about Canadians from Canadian universities trying to get jobs in the U.S. I always assumed that each country would tend to prefer its own nationals all other things being equal, and thus have'nt much hope of getting hired in Canada (I'm from NY). Is my assumption wrong? What do others know?
