You clearly have a great talent for sociological analysis. Maybe you could explain why my girlfriend and I have no trouble reaching a consensus on the important issues, but occasionally degenerate into arguments about extremely trivial issues. Like "who forgot to buy milk", or "what the cats are *really* thinking". A sociological perspective can come in handy every now and then.
