Two new articles have been posted on the
Red Feather Institute Home Page for those
of you who might be interested:

        #170 Class Structure and Class Process.


        This article answers some of the criticisms of 
        post-structuralists such as Lyotard who argue that
        all social structures are mere 'text' which are
        political agenda rather than objective analysis.

        In this article, the point is made that post-
        structuralists and other postmodernists use, in
        error, modern science criteria for structure.

        If one uses postmodern scientific criteria; those
        based upon the new sciences of chaos/complexity,
        those arguments become irrelevant to the knowledge
        process.

        #183 Postmodern Theories of Crime.

                with Bruce Arrigo as co-author.

        Modern and pre-modern theories of crime are critiqued
        for their limited valities; some attention is given
        to postmodern understanding as it helps sort out the
        structure and dynamics of crime.
