Boulding Student Award The American Sociological Association's Section on Peace and War announces the Elise M. Boulding Award for Distiguised Student Paper. The award is named in honor of Elise Boulding and her contributions to the sociology of peace and war. The section invites undergraduate and graduate students to submit a paper on any topic related to the sociology of peace and war. The award for first place is $200 toward the cost of travel to the ASA Annual Meeting or to help defray the cost of writing the paper. The award will be presented at the Section's Annual Business Meeting in Toronto in August, 1997. The recipient of the award is usually invited to present his/her paper at the Peace and War Roundtable during the meetings. Papers must have been written within the past two years. They must be typed-double-space (25pp. limit), and should adhere to the style guidelines of articles in the American Sociological Review or similar academic publications. Papers should include a separate cover page listing author's contact information, title, and whether the paper was written as an undergraduate or graduate student.
