These are available for the U.S., for NY, and I think even for NYC specifically. Friends of mine and I myself have used these sucessfully in several cities (DC, San Francisco) while I have also heard that they are not so good for other cities (a horror story of a hostel in LA comes immediately to mind). I may try this in Toronto, too, (for ASA).
