Advertised position follows: ------ The Department of Sociology, The University of Western Ontario, invites applications for two tenure-track positions, at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 1997 or when the positions are filled. Candidates must have a Ph.D. One position is in gender studies with research interests in modern sociology theory, social psychology, family or inequality. The other position is in social demography with research interests in women and development, urbanization, mortality/morbidity or aging. Undergraduate and graduate teachings are involved. The Department has a Ph.D. program with emphasis on social demography, social class and social change, and health and aging. The closing date for applications is March 1, 1997.
