Applicants must have a Ph.D. in sociology with emphases in stratification and race/ethnicity by the time of the appointment. Responsibilities include teaching six courses per year, including social stratification, race and ethnic relations, social psychology, and introduction to sociology. Other courses may include organizations, work and occupations, political sociology, and areas of the applicant's specialization. Successful teaching experience at a four-year institution of higher education is preferred.
