Subject: What is best internet software?

Anyone out there connected to the internet outside of a university setting?
I will not have access to it after I graduate.   I want to know which is 
the best software out of "internet in a box, mosaic, netscape,etc..
Please educate me about which to buy, because I do want to stay on this list
and enjoy the wonderful discussions.  Thanks jggso@jazz.ucc.uno.edu.
