I have just read the plea from Elizabeth Larsen for help with a 
Deviant Behavior syllabus for this fall semester, and the response 
from Pamela Paxton.  Since I am about to introduce our new graduate 
students to SOCGRAD, I am reproducing the two messages to demonstrate 
one way that using SOCGRAD can be helpful.  Of course this is not to 
denigrate the discussions that go on, but this is a brief thing I 
think will be appreciated.  THANKS.
