I, as a person of mixed heritage (1/8 Native American, 1/2 German, and the rest, who knows) also have no "ethnic culture." I am interested in hearing scholarly work on the history of all people, listening to differing viewpoints, etc. Ultimately, though, we have to decide if we are going to be just plain Americans or not. Saying that doesn't mean that we agree with everything that goes on here. It just means that we are willing to work TOGETHER to make improvements. Melanie
