I'm not a real fan of Bourdieu's, but I have done some reading on him. I have a sense of what "symbolic violence" is from reading a particular text, but I'm not sure whether it "lays out" his concept, as much as it "illustrates its use", asserting that pedagogy is inherently an act of symbolic violence.
