At UH we are required to take a graduate level stats course, but only if
we can show that we meet the prerequisite or equivalent of an upper
division undergrad stats course. Our dept. also strongly recommends the
course in multivariate analysis as a supplement also. There is generally a
strong emphasis on regression analysis throughout many of my courses both
in soc and in planning studies.
