I was rather amused to read the message saying that Socgrad has hundreds of subscribers. I only just had the chance to count up the numbers yesterday -- as of about 9 days ago there were 133 subscribers which isn't bad considering Socgrad only got started the last week of January. By now, that figure is undoubtedly somewhat higher. If people are interested, I'll give an updated count periodically. I'm also somewhat concerned by the messages complaining about technical difficulties. If you're having problems, can you message me with specifics, and I'll look into it. Finally, I think this discussion over ratings is worthwhile. It makes us think about what we as grad students find important in a sociology program as opposed to what U.S. News & World Report (and even the academics they interviewed) value.
