In response to Dan's pickiness, I thought I had posed a fairly simple 
question.  I was seeking thoughtful yet simple answers.  Dan, I am sure
you will be a great administrator some day.  Your meaningless critiques
and lack of definitive definitions will be your hallmark to fame.  By the
by, Dan, is it possible for you to answer the question put before you or
are you waiting until the ultimate definition comes to you in an epiphany?
