In self interest I would like to toss out a question for general
or more specific responses, as the case may be.  I would like to 
know how much academic freedom teaching assistants at the Ph.d
level have in what is being taught in the class/classes in which they
teach?  i.e.....Do you get to choose your own text books?  Who decides
what topics are to be covered during a semester?  Has anyone ever been 
told what subject matter they could or could not teach to a class?  If
you do not feel free to respond on the open network please feel free to
