To: socgrad@UCSD.EDU Hi socgradders, I was just informed at the last minute that I will be teaching a class in the Sociology of Sexuality next semester (upper-division and cross-listed with Women's Studies). Although sexuality is my subfield, I have never taught a course in it before so I'd like some suggestions. 1) First, does anyone know of a good reader or collection of articles that cover the Sociology of Sexuality? If so what is it called and who is it edited by? 2) Any suggestions on a really good anthropological source on cross-cultural variations that would be interesting and readable at the undergraduate level? 3) Any suggestions on articles or books that you would consider particularily useful and interesting for such a class? I have some ideas but I'd like to see what other people think. 4) any other suggestions are welcome If anyone has suggestions, feel free to answer whether you've taught such a course or not. I will greatly appreciate it! "Wayne Brekhus" Rutgers University
