Schaefer" In light of the latest Coleman discussions, it appears that our vote has been organically determined:) Thanks for writing in! In response to Simon's message, I agree that an engineering is already taking place. Whether we call the engineers the power elite or social scientists, my question is where the "ethics" originate? I think Coleman is naive to think that social scientists are more ethical (resistant to the persuasion of capital) than any other potential "social engineer." At the same time, it seems logical that sociologists posess a certain insight into institutional relations, an insight which might serve our world. Peace, Elizabeth Schaefer eschaefe@cwis.unomaha.edu
