I think the process is so complex and has so many intervening variables and
unpredictabilities that it will be almost impossible to find clear-cut
predicters that will reliably generalize. As it happens, I'm working on a
paper about what look to me like fairly likely predicters in very narrowly
defined contexts, but it's not ready to go public yet.
