Subject: identity politics

As a non-sociologist with an interest in sociology, I would very much like
to see what other people have to say about identity politics, particularly
as this impacts such factors as social movements and political
mobilization.  I very much like the idea of having those of us interested
in identity politics and collective identity discuss a work-in-progress by
someone with an interest in these questions.  Anyone out there with
something they've written and would like to share with us??  This would be
a great way to stimulate what could prove to be a very lively discussion...
