Doug, it seems you didn't read that last line of Ed's.  He does not believe we
should be valuing lives by how much society has invested in them.  He finds it
reprehensible.  He is saying that such reprehensible action would become
logical and necessary were the situation to get so bad that we HAD TO reduce
population.  Please, listen more carefully to what he is saying.
