Bernice,
  We want to send the Handbook preliminary draft to the publisher so that
they can send it out for review.  We have revised chapters from most of the
authors and draft chapters from all but a few.  Of course, we want to give
the publisher all of the chapters at once.  We had initially planned to do
this by early November, now we are looking at December 1.  
  We need your chapter.  I know this is a busy time of the semester.  But,
we want to have time to get you comments and so that you will have some
time left to revise before we submit the final manuscript to Prentice Hall.
