Medical records are shared with patients, and wellness, history, diagnostic, and management decision making is supported by computer systems. One goal is to improve the quality of care and the efficiency of practice. Another goal is to increase patient participation in medical decision making. The assumption is that computerized record keeping, sharing records, and computerized decision support can help patients take greater control over their own health. I am searching for good measures of quality of care, office efficiency, as well as patient autonomy. Can anyone help identify good measures of these concepts?
