{What follows is the edited version of a speech by the Reverend James Bevel, independent candidate for vice president on the LaRouche ticket, at Pasadena College in southern California on October 24, 1992.} I am happy to be here, to share with you this evening and to engage in moving ahead the American Revolution. One of the things that is uniquely distinct in America, is that whenever there is a social problem, every person must put themselves in the equation to bring about the fulfillment of the need or the solution to the problem. That is true, because in America, the responsibility of the government is entirely left in the hands of the American people. That's unique and distinct, and you have to understand that, if you are an American, you have no one to turn to when there is a problem or when there is a need, but yourself. And so the question always is: In light of what you know is true, what are {you} going to do? This is because the nation is your nation. And not to assume responsibility for your nation, is like not assuming responsibility for a boat you have out on the ocean, and the boat is leaking, and you don't fix it. Well, you know what's going to happen, particularly if you can't swim a great distance. We now have a situation in which our nation is in peril and circumstances and God and the need pose a question to each of us: What are you going to do? What are you going to do? Unfortunately, most people don't know {what} to do. They sort of just freeze. I was talking to some people the other day, about these dreams you have, where you try to run, but you can't run. Have any of you had those kinds of dreams? A dog, a lion, or a mean person is after you, and you can't run. And so a lot of times when we detect a great problem with our nation, we become paralyzed, we become frozen. It appears that the problem overwhelms us, and we ask the question: ``Well, where are the leaders? You're talking about a big nation. You're talking about a great big system that extends all the way from the Baring Straits, all around Hawaii, down to the southern tip of Florida back out past Maine--so how can I take care of that responsibility? What can I do? Little old me?'' That's what you people think. And so most of us, when we see such a problem, we become paralyzed, we simply hide our heads in the sand and continue to do the things that we've been doing, hoping that the problem will go away. But no problem goes away. All problems demand solutions. What you have to do, is you have to stand up and be as courageous as the Founders of the nation. The Founders of this Nation were noble fellows, honorable men, and profound thinkers. Now once a thing is set up, say like aviation, or like the United States government, or any other invention or discovery, in order to maintain that, you have to have at least as much integrity and intelligence and commitment as those who brought it into being. In other words, you can't solve the American problem if you're not willing to be {at least} as intelligent as Benjamin Franklin. And if you're not willing to be as courageous as George Washington; if you're not willing to be as powerful as Thomas Jefferson. Then, there is nothing you can do for America, because it is at that level of intelligence and commitment that the nation was formed, and in order to solve the problem, you have to at least rise to that occasion. The problem is that most of us never think in terms of rising to that level. And I'm here tonight to challenge you to really, as Paul would say, throw aside every weight that has so easily beset you, so that you can run the race with patience.... The question comes right back to you: What are you going to do? The outcome for you and history is predicated on what you're going to do. In other words, each person's outcome is always predicated on what that person himself will do. What you want the outcome to be, is what you must invest to create. So if you want the nation to be saved, then you have to save the nation. Not the person sitting next to you. You have to save your America. Man and God I didn't know that, until back in the 1960s, when I was a student, and all these problems faced African-American people in terms of the restrictiveness that had been imposed upon us by the Southern Confederacy in terms of defining us as sex toys and work animals; and of course we couldn't eat here, we couldn't walk there, and we couldn't read here, and you had to go to the back in the alley to order your food, and you couldn't vote, and you couldn't rent and buy houses, and of course you had to be sent off to silly wars that had nothing to do with anything. There was no Congress I could turn to; there was no President I could turn to; there was no senator I could call; there was no mayor I could talk to about all these things. I had to turn to myself, and I had to turn to other people like myself, and that's when I learned and discovered the efficiency of two things. One, is the theology of Jesus Christ--Christian theology.... Jesus actually discovered the phenomenon of man. Most people don't know that. It was Jesus who was the discoverer of man. Jesus discovered man; and in the process of discovering man, he invented a process called church, {ecclesia.} If you go back in history, as is recorded in the Bible, after God created man, man got lost. Man lost his consciousness of his definition, nature, and purpose. And nobody could get order going, nobody could have an intelligent going, not really, basically, because nobody knew what man was. You can't have an intelligent discussion about something, if you don't know the subject. Nobody knew the subject. Jesus came along and discovered the fact of man, that which God had created. God created a thing and called it ``living soul'' in His image and likeness, to exercise dominion over the Earth. Once He created it, since He can't take back that which He created, that Creation was there. But nobody knew about His Creation. Everybody had concepts and beliefs and ideas about it, but nobody knew it. And the reason nobody knew it, was because nobody was as serious about that creation as God Himself was. In other words, say God created man, and God is very serious about man. In order to understand man, you have to be {at least} as serious about man as God is. Jesus was as serious about man as God was, and he was as serious about God's motions. See, God had put a motion on the floor. I was at a black church the other day. They were saying that God was their God, and they were shouting about this, and then they said, Yes, God, is Sovereign; He can do everything. And so I thought about it, and I said, no, that's the mistake that black people make. They really think that God is supposed to do everything. That's why they don't do anything. That's an erring thing. Well, what happened, was that God had put a motion on the floor. There's a motion: ``I move that man be made in my image and after my likeness.'' But that motion is an open motion, and it has to be seconded by every human being. That is, God has a motion on the floor, and that motion is to make man in His image and likeness, so man can have dominion over the earth; then every man, every male and female, must come along and second this motion. Well, what happened? Jesus, for whatever reason, seconded the motion. Jesus was the Christ because God had a main motion on the floor, to make man in His image and likeness, and Jesus, for whatever reason, stumbled upon the fact of the motion, and seconded the motion. That's how he got to know what he knew. So once he seconded the motion, then he had the privilege that everybody else didn't have, because he could have a meeting with God. He could just talk with God, just like we talk. Because if you don't second God's motion, He does not allow you to speak in his meetings. This is the problem: Most of us don't know what's going on. What is going on, is that there is a motion on the floor; and the motion is, to make man in the image and likeness of God; and because you have not seconded that motion, you have become estranged. Once you second the motion, then the chairman says, ``Now you've heard the motion. Do you have any questions?'' {Then} you can ask God questions. If you are not involved in the business of making man in the image and likeness of God, why should God listen to what you're talking about? Now once you second the motion, you see, then you can get into the conversation. Well, that's exactly what happened to Jesus. So he discovered, in that process, he discovered man. Jesus delineates man, the psychology of man, in what is called the Sermon on the Mount, which most preachers and most Christian people don't take time to read, and don't take time to study and time to understand, and don't learn those principles and apply those principles to themselves, till they prove the validity of those principles. The Sermon on the Mount is Jesus's Ph.D. thesis. Now if you were serious about this scholar and you were going to understand this scholar, the first thing you should do at least is to read the man's thesis, to find out what he's talking about. And to test the thesis, to see whether it's true or false. Gandhi and Tolstoy So, back in the 1960s, what happened? We were dealing with how we were to change the South, without killing these people. Because I was not going along with this foolishness. I had just gotten back from the Korean War, I wasn't going to be going through back doors and stuff. So the question was, what are we going to do about this? {How} are we going to do this? We got into the profundity of what Gandhi and Tolstoy had laid out. Gandhi said, if you go around killing people--you can go and study all the revolutions you want to. He said the revolutionaries killed the reactionaries, and in the next three or four years, the revolutionaries were thrown out by new reactionaries, and then more revolutionaries come along and kill those reactionaries--he said, nothing ever really happened. You change personalities, but nothing really ever happened. And I said, ``That's true.'' So me being a black governor of Mississippi doing what white governors of Mississippi do, is no progress at all. The question is: How do you change the conditions? Not how do you change the personalities [but] how will you bring about essential change, without getting off into this game of murdering people? So we began to study Gandhi. We began to study Jesus and Tolstoy.... When we began to test this theology, which is the psychology of man, we found ourselves not even really aware of the Founding Fathers in a sense. But as we practiced this theology, we found ourselves sociologically totally in tune with the principles of the founders--just by practicing Christian theology. By practicing an internal principle, you manifest a correct external order. The Constitution and Theology In America, we hold these truths to be self evident: The Declaration of Independence is the sociology of New Testament theology. So if you don't practice New Testament theology, then the Declaration of Independence doesn't mean anything to you. Because if you practice New Testament theology, your social creed would have to be the Declaration of Independence: ``We hold these truths to be self-evident, that {all} men are created equal, that they {are} endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, and among these rights is life''--that's right, an inalienable right, life. The Declaration continues to say that ``to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men.'' And then it goes on and says, now we get together, ``we the people, in order to form a more perfect union,'' to preserve life, and so on and so forth. Well, that's just common sense. That's the logic of reason. That's not schemes and hustle and attitudes. That's {common sense}. That's {thought,} that's {reason,} and that's {truth.} The crisis we have today, is that we do not have people who are willing to practice the principles of Jesus Christ; therefore they can't comprehend their own government, because they don't even know the source of their own government. And that is creating a crisis. Just let me give you another illustration of how deep that crisis is. A bunch of satanic homosexuals and communists and racists got together and said, ``I'll tell you what we'll do. Let's take prayer out of the school, and people might get a little angry, but just tell them that the problem is, that you've got to take it out of the school, you can't mix up church business with state business.'' [This is like] guy coming into the auditorium, and telling you: ``well, in order for you guys to have a good meeting, we have to cut the electrical lines, so the meeting can go on. Because we don't want too much light to get on the people. Because the light getting on the people, violates their rights.'' And we sit there and let them cut the electrical line, and then you get to fighting, and running over each other in the dark. Don't you see that you would have to be insane, to let someone come up with this kind of hoax? And you're right back to Christian theology: Jesus said man must always pray and have faith. He said you can't think, you can't reason, you can't know, you can't plan, you can't execute your plans correctly, you can't serve your health, interests, rights, and needs and simultaneously serve the health, interests, rights, and needs of other people, if you're not in prayer. You've got to have a base from which you do your reasoning, and that is prayer. Then why would you let some communist woman, and some drunken old men sitting on the [Supreme Court] bench, take the prayer out of the school? And you're at home watching television, drinking beer, eating sausages, and sleeping! {Don't you understand the implications of that?} So you have to say, well, what's wrong with us? That's what I mean when I say that if you're not practicing a principle when the law is broken, it does not even register in your consciousness, and you do not even experience it as a violation. So you go around as if nothing really happened. Then, 30 years later, you can't turn a child out of a school system who can do anything basically intelligent. All you can produce is derelicts, criminals, and slaves. That's what's coming out of the public schools--at the Ph.D. level. {All} you can produce, is derelicts, criminals, and slaves. You see, because we have not taken certain basic fundamental principles seriously enough. We were so confused, we said, ``Maybe there is a problem with church and state.'' And it's total insanity. When you give up being man, you don't even perceive yourself as being the authority of the government, and you certainly don't see yourself {as} the government. Why do you, being an American, knowing everything you know about the Declaration of Independence, the first line in the Constitution, ``We the people, in order to form a more perfect union....'' assume that there is someone else who is the government, other than yourself? It just doesn't make sense--unless you understand what happens when you violate the fundamental principles of {being a man.} So God's motion is a serious motion: {I move that man be made in my image and likeness,} says God. {And man has to say} ``I second the motion.'' It is then that you understand man, then you understand government. And if you don't like the motion, if you don't second the motion, then you don't understand that. So we learned what government was, by just practicing the Sermon on the Mount. Of course we walked, we opened up the theaters, and we opened up the interstate transportation, and we got the right to vote, by just practicing those fundamental principles. So what we always worked on in the movement--we never worked on having good reputations, all of us had bad reputations--but we worked on having good character. It's different. We didn't work on reputations. We did not work to have good reputations. You have to have good character. You work on having good character. And if you work on having good character, obviously, you're going to have a bad reputation, with those who don't have good character. Rebuilding the Government I was talking to a bunch of young guys the other night over at the church, because we're getting ready now to establish the capital in Washington. So we are recruiting, right? We've got to have some men who can build the capital, because we have a problem. Not having a government is a problem. So we asked them: ``What are the first tools you think we need to build a government?'' And they start thinking about it, and nobody came up with the answer, so I said, ``Well, let me tell you the first tool you have to have, in order to build a government. The first tool you must have, is a mind. You have to have a mind. If you don't have a mind, there's nothing you can do about anything, is there?'' Now, then they asked: ``Well, how do you get one?'' That's real business, because that's serious. How do you get a mind? The first thing you have to do, in order to get a mind, is that you have to agree not to lie about anything to anybody at any time. How many of y'all have done that? How many of you guys have set down and said, ``Wait a minute. What I have to do is not to lie to anybody about anything at any time. And I have to make that decision, in order to get done what has to be done.'' How many people have made that decision? Until you make that decision, you cannot have a mind. Understand? That's how you get in the revolution, is making that decision: I will not lie to anyone about anything, at any time. That's serious. You've got to understand the seriousness of that. {You've got to understand the seriousness of lying.} Lying does to the mind what frozen water does to the block of a car: it busts the block and therefore it can't develop power, because the block is busted. Because in order to have power to drive an automobile, you've got to have fire, fuel, and a compression chamber. Well, if the compression chamber is cracked, even though you've got fire and fuel, you can't get power. When you tell lies, you bust the compression chamber in the mind--and most of us have never had one. We don't ever remember having a compression chamber. We started lying when we were little cars, right? And we don't know why we can't turn thoughts; we don't know why we can't generate ideas; we don't know--we say, well, Lyndon LaRouche thinks that way, why do you think that way? I say, because he doesn't tell lies. So the revolution is not when you believe this and you believe that, and you believe this--no, no. {When you decide that you are not going to lie to anybody for any reason at any time about anything, you develop a mind.} And the strategy of the opposition, the strategy of the oppressor, is to always make sure that people don't have minds, by making people tell lies or live with lies. Let me illustrate what I'm talking about. These guys come up on us and say, ``well, listen, you guys should be slaves--lackeys.'' We say, ``well, we don't know. We don't know much about economics, maybe y'all know something about it. We went along with that for 3-400 years. It turned out to be a hoax.'' So they came back and said, ``Listen. Yeah, that was a mistake. But what we need you guys to do, is to sit in the back.'' We said, ``Well, we don't know that much about social relationships, maybe you know what you're talking about, so we'll sit in the back.'' {That} turned out to be a hoax. Now they come back again, and say, ``Well, we know those things were wrong. But we have discovered now, that your rectum is a vagina. And you ought to agree with this. And it's correct politics.'' Why would you let somebody tell a lie like that, and you act like it's true? Because you've become so accustomed to living lies and not being a man--male or female--that you let folks just put out garbage and lies and you bow to them, cringing together. Lying is a dangerous thing. To accept lying is a dangerous thing. It causes you to lose your mind. And we walk around here, a bunch of idiots with no minds, ruled and regulated by a bunch of drunken, drugged-up fools, because we won't just sit up and agree not to tell folks lies about anything, so we can have minds and give direction to our nation. That's a serious problem. We can't do an analysis of the lie and then tell the truth and show the validity of the truth and then manifest action upon the truth, because we don't have minds. And so what we need to do, tonight, we need to make the agreement, that we're going to get in the movement, and the first step of getting in the movement, is to stop telling the lies. Now, if you don't make that agreement, there's no point in discussing anything else with you. If I come up on you, to discuss the truth about something, and you are a liar, then who am I talking to? Did you ever think about that? You're discussing truth with a person who is a liar. {How can a truthful man come to an understanding and agreement with a liar,} when the liar won't be truthful? If you gave the truth, what would he contain the truth in, if he's a liar? A liar can't contain truth. He doesn't have anything to hold it with. So in order to solve the problem, we've got to have an army of people. I'm not talking about believing in what I believe, because I don't believe in nothing. I don't believe in believing. I believe in knowledge. I deal with {knowledge,} not beliefs, not what do you believe. How are you going to get an old man talking about do you believe in God. If you don't know God by now, what's your problem? You ought to either know there is a God, or there is not a God. And if you've been running around the earth all these years and haven't discovered God exists or doesn't exist, something's wrong with you. Why don't you go do your research on that? Why don't you prove that to be so or not to be so? ``Well, I believe, I believe--'' What do you mean, you believe? Why don't you go check and find out whether it's true or not? That's the crisis that's facing our youth, and that's the crisis that's facing our nation. They don't even have adults who have minds, and who are engaged in thought in their environments, because we all lie. Now let's see the hands. How many are going to resolve tonight, that we're going to start tonight, {right now,} to give up lying? Let me see the hands of those who are going to give up lying. We're making progress. This is great progress. See, that's the first step in the revolution. Most people don't know--that's the first step. Let me explain to you how important it is. I remember, I went to a workshop and it was mostly young ladies. And I went to the workshop, sitting in the back, feeling all macho and militant. And the guy said--he was talking about segregation and how low down racist segregationists were, and then he said: ``Who do you think causes racist segregation?'' I put up my hand and said, ``White people.'' He said, ``All by themselves?'' ``Oh yeah, most things that go wrong in the world, we can trace it back to them.'' He says, ``When you get on the bus, and go to the back of the bus, is there a white man there holding a pistol on you to make you go to the back of the bus?'' I said, ``Of course not.'' He said, ``Why do you do it?'' And these young ladies were sitting around, and I was out on the stage. And I had to say the truth: ``Well, I'm scared.'' He said, ``That's the problem. You're a coward.'' He said, ``Now, it appears that arrogant white people create the whole problem.'' He said, ``they only create 50 percent of the problem. The other 50 percent is created by cowardly black people. If you got rid of your cowardice what do you think would happen?'' And I said, ``Well, let me work on that.'' And sure enough: the sit-in movement started to the degree that those of us who were in that workshop, began to work on our cowardice--our fears. Because that was causing us to live the lie, right? As soon as we worked on that, we didn't go to the back anymore. We didn't jump on the arrogant white people, we just went to the restaurant and ate--as non-cowardly folks would do. So, we were {half} of the problem; but until we gave up the lie about white folks were the whole problem, and blah-blah-blah, admit we were lying and living lies, we could not solve the problem. As soon as we stopped lying, we were able to start solving the problem of segregation. Because it was lies told by arrogant men and cowardly men. And that's what made the whole process work like it did. {Half} of the problem is that Bush is this or Clinton is that, and Perot is this, all that's true; but [the other half is that] there is no citizens' movement that is working for the constitutional interests of all of the people. If you are not working in the interests of all the people, you've got to deal also with where you have compromised in your thinking. Was it not God who created man a living soul in His image and likeness, to have dominion over the earth? Why would you lie about God's creation? Mexicans didn't make Mexicans; Chinese didn't make Chinese; British didn't make the Englishman; the French didn't make the French, because God made all the people. And because they go around with foolish ideas about themselves, why should you care about your foolishness upon their foolishness, when in fact you can act in relationship to people, based on God's definition of the people--which is the true definition of the people. So you have to ask yourself: where have I compromised, if I'm not working in the interests of all the people? King brought it to me this way. He said, ``Now, Jim, you know it's not reasonable not to love people.'' ``Yes, it's true. It's unreasonable not to love people.'' ``{Even if they are foolish}.'' ``Even if they are foolish.'' ``{And even if they do hideous things}.'' ``And even if they do hideous things,'' ``It is unreasonable {for you} not to love people.'' Let's take that a step further. Then, when you don't love people, you're not reasonable. It doesn't have anything to do with the people; we know people are foolish. But the question becomes, well, why don't you love them? You say, ``Well, they're ignorant, they're black, and they're stupid.'' Fine. Why is it that {you} don't love them? ``Well, they speak Vietnamese, and blah-blah.'' I say, ``That's fine. {Why don't you love them}? Because you're not reasonable.'' So when you don't love people, you're not reasonable. You have to work to be reasonable. And you have to say to yourself, when I don't love people, I'm not reasonable. Then how can I become reasonable? By being loving to people, you become {reasonable.} And what happens, is that you discover you have a power to help that person address whatever problem they have. Appearing in History That's what we have to do. We have to all go back to the fundamental principle, of what man really is. And we have to take that seriously, in relationship to ourselves. Did you know, that when you look at yourself in economic terms, that until you are totally truthful, you cannot even be recorded in history? And do you know why? What happens, is that when you are absolutely truthful for the first time, you appear in history. See, your fantasy about you, is only your fantasy about you. It does not register in space, energy, elements and motion. History is the recorded dynamics of space, energy, elements, and motion. So until you become {truthful}, what could any truthful historian say about you? When we began to read history--we go back in history--who can we read about? We read about people who were truthful. The folks who were not truthful, there's nothing about them. You understand that? What did non-truthful people contribute to the develpment of the mind of man? Go back in history. What books do we open up to gather knowledge from untruthful people? In terms of the mind's development, in terms of the evolution of thought, the evolution of man, the creation, contributing to the evolution and the expanding of knowledge and the improvement of the human estate. When we read history we are talking about the evolution of mind and the evolution of the clarification of the human estate. If you are not truthful you can't be in that history. So when you die at 53, you are very dead. There's nothing else about you. Your fantasy about you dies when you die. The only thing that lives is the truthfulness and the impact that that truthfulness had on the human estate and its contribution to the evolution of man. So until you tell the truth you can't be recorded in history. There's nothing historical to be said about you. Say you die, right?! And you go up and knock on the heavenly door. Peter is going to be there with his computer. He is going to say, ``What's your name?'' ``My name is Mrs. Brown.'' ``From where?'' ``California.'' Peter says, ``I don't see your name on the screen. What's your first name?'' ``Jean Brown.'' ``Where were you born?'' J.B. mumbles, ``California.'' Peter louder, ``Where?!'' ``California.'' Peter says, ``There's nothing in here on you.'' Now this is fact. You can only know the validity of something until you are truthful all the way around. And you know that's true. Because I was truthful, now I have a tool, this truthfulness, I can measure the truthfulness of this. But if this is not truthful, I can't know the truthfulness of this. Until you are truthful, you don't have a tool to examine anything. Nothing. All you have to go around are opinions and beliefs and attitudes and ideas about everything, but you can't know anything. Because you don't have anything to know it with. This is why people get into political cliques--people who tell common lies get together, right? To impose their lies upon other people, right? To defend their lies, right? To rationalize their lies, right? That's what creates political cliques. Once you become totally truthful, you can get into constitutional communities. All the black guys don't understand why I work with Lyndon LaRouche. They say, ``How much money did he give you, baby?'' ``I know you know I know you're ripping whitey off now.'' Because they have never been in a constitutional community. Because they're accustomed to getting into cliques. Doing something for nickels and dimes, and living lies. They don't understand that here is a man who is truthful and based on the truthfulness of his premise. You work to implement that premise. Because of its truthfulness. And the implementing of truthfulness produces wealth anyway. But they never put themselves on to the seriousness of truthfulness. That's what I wanted to speak with you tonight. No point in getting into a whole lot of strategies and tactics with a guy who isn't truthful, is there? He'll go tell the FBI and have them shooting at me. He'll get it mixed up. This is how movements get distorted. So the truthfulness has to come out; that is the first step. Why is that so? Because we are going to be waging a war to establish the principle of the Declaration of Independence. A lot of people don't understand why their church can't have influence in America. Your church starts on an assumption, a belief, when you believe. That kind of church can never have influence on America. Why? Because America began ``We hold these truths to be self-evident.'' Therefore, if your religion doesn't start with a fundamental truth, how can your religion have an impact on the government that is established on a fundamental truth, when your religion is a belief system? A belief system cannot have an impact on a truth system. In order to have an impact, you would have to begin with the truth. The truth you have to start with is yourself. How did I discover this? I didn't know there was no government. I really didn't find it out until I agreed to run with Lyndon LaRouche. [On August 4, I went over to the National Press Club to] announce that I was a vice-presidential candidate. We sent out information and it said, ``I am running for vice-president. I'm on an independent slate and I'm in with Lyndon LaRouche.'' All the press was conspicuously absent, right? These guys think that by not telling the truth about something, it makes it not so. So, I said to myself, ``They're going to run several pimps in the newspaper and claim there is an election going on.'' The rumor got out in the 1960s: In order to have a movement, you've got to get along with the press. I say that is not true, because when Moses came across the Red Sea, ABC didn't report it. NBC didn't say anything about it. There wasn't any C-Span. It wasn't in {The Los Angeles Times}. And all of us got the information. The Purpose of America It is very clear. If anybody comes along with foolishness and comes up with some mess, you've got to understand the document of our founders. The questions of Socrates being killed, Jesus being killed, all of our intelligent scientists through the Dark Ages and the Middle Ages getting killed, this was weighing heavily on [the Founding Fathers]; How do we have a social system where intelligent, scientific, truthful people can live without being hassled? And they set up a government so that honest, intelligent, truthful people could live. That's what it is set up for. America is set up so people can live as the sons of God. Not dream about being that, but to be that. All the energy that has gone into that, all the people who died to make this reality so, so that you could come to the earth and be an intelligent, honest human being and have a government that supports you while you are doing this, and you bow to tyranny. That is about the worst vulgar treatment in this day that a person could do. And the guy said, ``What about the document?'' If some mess comes up and somebody starts foolishness, it is your duty to do whatever you're supposed to do. {But never bow to tyranny.} Be a son of God, be the daughter of God. We will be waging a war to establish the principles of the Declaration of Independence in this country. That's a war. That is not a political question, that's a war question. That is a military reality. When you have need for food you ought to go farm. And when you wake up and discover that your government has been perverted by criminals and crooks, you've got to go to war. You can't get around that. If you try to wheeze around that, nature dictates that you become a slave forever. That's fact. A lot of people don't understand that. They say, ``White folks enslaved black folks!'' There aren't any white folks that enslave black folks. Black folks tell lies, that's how they get enslaved. They become a bunch of pathological liars. They tell lies about everything. Everybody knows Clinton is a crazy man. And all these negroes go around voting for him and working for him. And all they got is dope and money. They're telling lies. Living lies! And if you follow suit, the same thing will happen to you. Nobody, listen to me very carefully, can even have a relationship with God, if they do not have integrity equal to Jesus Christ. At least when you get to wherever you're going, you can say, ``Bevel told me, I do have that information.'' I'm telling you, if your integrity is not equal to Jesus Christ's integrity, you cannot have a relationship with God. In fact, he set the minimum standard and said, ``These are things you must do.'' And he defined himself as the least in the kingdom. We get up and tell the people, ``He is sitting up at the right hand of the Father.'' He didn't say that. He said, ``I'm the least in the kingdom.'' He said, ``Those born of women, there is none as great as John the Baptist, but he who is least in the kingdom is greater than John.'' This guy set the minimum standards. I'm not going to lie to get along with you because you're lazy and don't want to discipline yourself, and because you get mad when somebody tells you the truth about yourself. No, I'm not going to tell you a lie to get along with you. That's the standard. I tell you the truth because you may be interested in making the standard. For us to pull off the revolution, we've got to have people at least as integrity-filled as Jesus. Some Changes Now we need 150 people. Congress is going to make the negroes in Washington vote to kill themselves. You all saw that, right? So we're going to be up there organizing. We're going to make them take the Pike statue down, we're going to change the Supreme Court or run them out of town. They define people's lives as privileges rather than rights. They mete out punishment and murder rather than corrective justice. They engage in criminal acts of plea bargaining rather than due process. They took prayer, education, and science out of the schools and put in drugs and homosexuality. They did all these crazy things. We're going to correct that. Then, the Federal Reserve has to be constitutionalized and put under the Congress. The National Bank cannot exist for the private interests of some thugs, satanists, and drug dealers and homosexuals. It has to exist for the constitutional interests of the American people. Period! That's not going to be debated. You can't develop your system when the pimps got the bank. Because they're not going to make the system to develop people and communities, because it's not to their personal advantage. So the paper [credit] has got to be put where it's supposed to be put. But you can't do that with a bunch of lying people, a bunch of scared people, and a bunch of undisciplined people. The files, the killing of the killers, the killers of Martin Luther King, the LaRouche file [must be opened]! We've got to have our files! Those are not Bush's files! Now I can't go back home and pretend I have something more important to do, when all these criminal acts are being commmitted against us and the people. When there is war then you can't go around acting like a civilian. You can't act like everything is alright. We can't just go watch television, give a few dollars here and there. Martin Luther King said, ``As long as you are in jail, I'll have to work 168 hours a week.'' You may spend the rest of your life in jail. Then I've got to be at work. Any man who doesn't honor the man that much, something is wrong with you. We have to have at least 150 people on our administrative motor staff to take that city [Washington, D.C.]. We have got to end the violence, because we take the position: Stop the Murder at the White House. Stop the murder from the bench. Stop the murder from the state house. Stop the murder on the streets. We've got to go in there. We've got to organize 10,000 volunteers to clean the city out. But we've got to have 150 people in the leadership mode who are working for a time on this. This is what we've got to do. So you might sit out and wait to see who is going to be elected. I'm not going to even get into that. As far as I know, the President is out there in Rochester, [Minnesota federal prison], I'm the vice president, and we have work to do. We just have to go and do the work based on the legitimate will of the people, and the spirit of Christ and the spirit of the founders. We have to go on and do the work of the government. We need at least 150 people who give up lying and come to work full time so that we can get things done. I'm happy to be here with you. I hope I didn't bore you and cause any serious problems. We are working, we will continue to work when the election is over. We will go more or less into an action mode. We must radically change the nation, put the Federal Reserve under the Constitution. We can't wait for the next four years, we've got to put it under in the next 12 months. That means mass organizing people. As Martin Luther King said, we can't have business as usual. We need people to make those kind of sacrifices or adjustments. {If we don't do it, we won't even have a nation. You have to understand that. If we don't do this, we will not have a nation.} Once the meltdown takes place and the crisis starts, we're going to get a military dictatorship. We're going to get a whole slew of people, who haven't any idea of how to think, killed. So we have to move a non-violent movement into place before that meltdown comes. That's absolutely necessary. Double your efforts for the next 12 months, and those of you who are not working full time come to work full time. We must save this nation, just so we can have some context into which we can carry on an intelligent conversation. I want to thank you. God bless you; God keep you.
