News from the four corners of the Earth can be sent to QPI for rapid redistribution to other QPI members via electronic emaiservices. QPI members supply the newsbites and any articles. For instance, news that breaks in Australia can be transmitted electronically, using electronic email, to the QPI email address. The news received will be compiled and delivered to the membership . QPI members can also subscribe and retrieve the QPI news feeds from the FTP site rather then have them emailed. In the beginning the QPI is moderated. As the demand increases from the growing QPI membership, the mailing list will be automated. In the beginning entire news stories can be transmitted. As the size of the list increases the news that can and will be redistributed to the QPI membership will be in the shorter form of * news bites*. These news bites or short paragraphs highlighting the news will be in the QPI wires sent to the membership. The QPI membership that is interested in the complete text will then be able to email either the sender and request the detailed article(s) find the article in a archive at QPI. Archiving Due to space limitations at this time QPI will archive for 2 weeks. As the demand and monetary support increases the archiving capacity will be dramatically increased.
