The list can be quite extensive. The secret is to: K E E P I T S I M P L E Catalog deliveries GLU/Seattle is fortunate that the area in which the catalogs are delivered are near to the GLU "headquarters", home. All the catalogs can be taken to the distribution sites on a bicycle. This is really convenient considering the parking at most of the LGBTetc businesses is very tight to say the least. Time spent The time that is spent in delivery is about one hour a week. This can be done about every 10 to 14 days. I like to do it every week to get an idea how many catalogs are being picked up. The best time to pass the catalog out in the Seattle area is late afternoons early evening. The reason is that most of the bars are not open until late afternoon. Tidy Distribution sites When the catalogs are put out it is nice to straighten the area up that the GLU stuff is put. That helps the owner and the look of the GLU presentation. Stapling Inserts Also in is a good idea to consider stapling all the inserts that are in the catalog. By securing the inserts the places that allow GLU to distributed are not totally trashed with little pieced of garbage all over their floors. this one can take a bit of time. Getting Help Volunteers and or people that want to work off a scholarship is also a possible delivery route. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Hicks tomh@halcyon.com GLU - Gay Lesbian University/Seattle anonymous ftp halcyon.com /pub/GLU POB 20771 Seattle,WA 98102 206-323-7483 F I G H T B A C K W I T H T E C H N O L O G Y ----------------------------------------------------------------
