A more complete poise To All of the sophistications of love That I experienced firsthand, for the first time. All that are joyous memories; Lending much to my cultivation. At once, upon our ending I was certain that the good you were for me Would leave me as swiftly as your love. Alas, these inner strengths do remain, To their respective degree. It was first necessary for me to complete The several tours of melancholy Such as one experiences after one loses Their most cherished one. I thank you now, so that you always know it; That your gentle touch, sweet kiss, And unyielding influence added to my soul A more complete poise. The elements above mentioned are partially What I have to thank you for, but moreover, These things I shall always love you for, In a special way, tangent to memory. I am somewhat amazed by my own thought, for After all, I do believe I may love again. Perhaps I will do better the next time, Perhaps not. Possibly it is the doubt that kept me And now still keeps me from the effort. But, Questioning and yet to even know why Does not serve to change me. Therefore, I rely upon hope. A very powerful Seed for change; the greatest of your gifts to me. Though at times, it too does waver and linger. Still again, I thank you. It is not entirely important that you Did not denote with sincerety any or All of your feelings for me, for You have taught me that they indeed exist. I could add nothing here That would ever provide the sum Of the three words You have portrayed to me, Nor their amplifications. So that perhaps a brevity here Is also a wisdom. To your sweet kiss, To which I can compare no other sweetness; I have ever known. -------------------------------------------------------- / / /__,_ _ o ____ /_ __. __ /_) (_
