List of Commentaries available from Project Libellus. For lists of Texts and Learning Aides, see the corresponding lists in ../texts and ../aides, respectively. In the following lists, filename is the name of the file, without the attached path. dir is the path of the file, relative to this directory. type is either A (ASCII) or B (BINARY). If you are downloading type B files, make sure that you are using binary (also known as image) data transferral, since otherwise it won't work. status is one of A, B, or G. `A' means that the text is not yet ready for public consumption; none of the texts here should be marked `A'. `B' means that, while we feel the text to be ready for most purposes, it is not completely error-free, and should not be used where complete accuracy is critical (e.g. for compiling concordances). Most of the texts here are `B'. `G' means that a text has been checked independently and found to be error-free. These texts should be good for anything, although I still don't guarantee it. `D' means that a text has been diff'ed against an independently generated e-text, and the resultant diffs checked against the paper copy; AND that the original was a critical edition. These texts are good for any purpose. description is a one, or possibly two, line description of what the file is. Works contributed to this archive pass through three lists. First, before we actually receive the work, they will appear on the "coming soon" list, and may stay there for some time, depending on how much work is required for the contributor to make the work ready for public release. Once we have received a work, and if we have not already cleared the source volume with our legal advisor, it will be placed on the "awaiting legal advice" list pending her okay. Once the source volume has been cleared, the file(s) will be moved into the appropriate directories, and the filename moved onto the "present collection" list. With this in mind, then, the only files that are reteievable are on the "present collection" list. The other two lists are here only for your information. In addition, it may not be legal to export any files contained in directories marked as "US-only" to other countries. I will try, whenever possible, to duplicate works taken from `US-only' sources from universally public-domain sources, so that those outside the US will not be tempted to break their countries' copyright laws, but with the happy side-effect that those within the borders can have their choice of versions.
