Readers: To all who find themselves here, just a few words about why I’m doing this — allowing my work to be distributed/read freely. I’ve been writing for over twenty years, and have had some of my work published — mostly non-fiction and short stories/poetry. However, increasingly it seemed impossible to find a print publisher, and the epublishers offerings languish unread. Most important of all to me is that my work be read. Therefore, I am distributing it via the world wide web. Etext is a free, easy way to distribute. You will find mysteries, suspense, romance, a variety of novels here, as well as non-fiction essays and articles, and poetry. I experimented in several genres, so you may find something suited to your reading tastes. Explore my work, and see if anything attracts your attention. Some of the first files I placed here do have line breaks, which make it easier to read online. The later work may not be broken into on-screen lines, but you should have no trouble downloading the entire novel manuscripts and then either copy/pasting into the Microsoft Wordpad reader or converting it into Palm Pilot files or Rocket ebook. The latter two formats do have free programs on the net to download and use for converting plain text into compatible files. Or you may wish to print out the material, and read it at your leisure. As for copyright, I would like to retain my original copyright, but obviously do not prohibit re-distribution so long as the work remains AS IS. My name is Cara Swann, and my email address is: authoress1@juno.com If you wish to comment on any of my work, I’m always appreciative of reader feedback. ENJOY! —Cara Swann Filed March 2000
