                      ®Hacker/Warez Trader EVIL?¯                         
                   
        It has come to my attention that lately the media has been blowing
 a few things out of proportion. A couple of these things is how the media
 looks apon hackers and warez traders. Let me shead a little light on 
 this subjuct, and show you that hackers and warez traders are NOT evil.
        
        HACKER:
        As the media looks at it hackers are malitious beings. The media
 thinks that all hackers want to control everything in the electronic 
 world. The media also thinks that they always write in high ASCII. 
 The media also believes that hackers are a threat to the entire
 electronic community.
        The truth is is that not all hackers want to control everything.
 Hackers have some sort of ethics. You can't tell who is a hacker and
 who is not. It is not as simple as looking at a computer nerd and saying 
 that he is a hacker. Someone could know all about his own computer and 
 know not a thing about hacking. Most people that I have come in contact 
 with believe that the hacker has a code to adhear to. Hacking is also the 
 art of exploring the computer systems. In one of my many files that I have
 obtained in my more recent months there is the code of the hacker along
 with many other things. The code of the hacker is:
        That you learn, but do not damage, 
        you exploit but do not steal, etc.  
        The purpose of hacking is exploration, not personal gain.  
 If you still believe that hackers are evil beings then I think you
 should start listening to the people and not the media.

 

        Warez Trader:
        Microsoft corporation of america just lost millioons this month alone
 due to software piracy. Something like this I am shure that you all have
 heard of before. The media sees warez traders as common lowlife thieves.
 They think that warez traders just use the programs for an unlimited ammount
 of time.
        The truth is warez traders do not use warez for an unlimited ammount 
 of time. Warez traders do good to the BBSing community. They allow the whole
 of the BBSing community to try the regestered version of a software before
 people go ahead and buy it. Warez boards are kinda like the Blockbuster 
 Vidio of the electronic world. I have seen with many warez a file that
 states that these files are for evaluation pourpouses only. Wheather the 
 reader of that file complies is up to them, and if they do not comply
 then they are breaking the law not the warez traders. Warez boards 
 follow the FCC guidelines pretaing to the software that is on thier board.
 If the media has a problem with someone who is following the law then 
 that is further evedence that they are complete morons.



 Now that you have heard my views think it through for youreself.
 Are hackers and warez traders bad? In my opion they are not.
