We do accept Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, and MS Works files, for any other format please inquire first. We DISCOURAGE submissions on paper. All manuscripts are considered disposable, even if you provide RETURN mailer. We are into electronic media and -- Saving Trees. The format is quite similar to print manuscripts, where you should include your personal data at the top left hand corner of the file and in the right corner place the word count and rights you are offering. Denote italics with an underscore (underline) "_" immediately before and immediately after any word(s) to be placed in italics, and use an asterisk *to show bold* before and after the words to be placed in bold. NOTE: Ensure there are NO control codes! after saving to Ascii. Your word processor program may call the ASCII save: MS-DOS Text With Layout (*.asc) or something similar. If you are using a Mac, please ensure your file output is in the Universal Ascii Text, especially if sending as a file attachment, and for Mac it is usually best to paste the Ascii file into an email message and not as an attachment to email. Please preview the email prior to sending it to check for proper format of blank lines between the paragraphs!!! METHOD OF SUBMISSION: Send your ALL ASCII TEXT as file attach or pasted into Email and send to: subm@dreamforge.nauticom.net *ENSURING* there is a **BLANK LINE** between paragraphs, include a short writer's Biography in the email. Microsoft Word documents (Courier New 12 pitch, 10 characters per inch) are also recommended. Unless you really need the money, please decline payment. We have lost our funding, but hope to obtain funding for 1997. NOTE: if no Postal address, we assume you don't want paid. Note: ASCII TEXT is a "SAVE AS" option on most all word processors, or it is called MS-DOS Text With Line Breaks. If uploading multiple files, you can PKZIP them and send all the files within a single Zipped file. PKZip (protects file integrity), place your Bio and story(s) into a single Zipped file; name the Zip file with as much as the DOS eight character naming convention allows, e.g. POEEA.ZIP, and file attach to email. INCLUDE: **ONLY** if you MUST BE paid, include in the Email or file, your postal address, along with your Bio, email address, phone, and SSN. If no modem, mail a DOS disk with two copies of your manuscript on the disk, do not compress with PkZip when mailing a disk; save your mss in DOS Ascii Text and Mail to: Submission, Dream Forge Inc., PO Box 243, Greenville, PA 16125-0243 PAYMENT: Our funding has been removed -- So, unless absolutely necessary, please do not request to get paid until our funding is resumed.
