Their sound is very close to the former Ten-Cent Fun. There is one major difference, however. Skapone's male vocalist can sing. In addition, their drummer sings as well. It is also great to hear ska bands with female vocals. Their horns are particularly strong with two trombones and a very talented trumpeter. The 4-track EP, TRACY IS A ... is good. The tape is of good quality, so you won't be wasting your money on that home-brewed stuff. The songs on this cassette are excellent. "Once Again" speaks of bringing our country back to it's state of greatness. The horns are used for both rhythm and melody. Both "ONCE AGAIN" and "TOMORROW" are harmony hits. I have only one complaint. Their music is so straight forward, you get bored of it after the first ten listens. That is not a good sign, if you ask me. It's still to early to tell, though. They may be going places. Cassette: TRACY IS A... **1/2* (Skapone, 1327 Parkside, Park Ridge, IL 60068) $6
