1.   The text and images in the Online Exhibit ROME REBORN: THE
     VATICAN LIBRARY AND RENAISSANCE CULTURE are for the personal
     use of students, scholars, and the public.  Any commercial
     use or publication of them is strictly prohibited.

2.   This Online Exhibit is still "in process."  A few of the
     image files are not yet available and will be added over the
     next several weeks.  Some of the text files may change
     somewhat as well.  Please note the file dates of any files
     you download to be sure you have the latest versions.

3.   Several shareware JPEG viewers and an extraction program
     have been included in the /viewers sub-directory.  If you
     know of other or better public domain JPEG viewers that we
     should load here, please send information on where to obtain
     them to the system technician, K.D. Ellis, (Internet address
     kell@seq1.loc.gov).  All image files have been viewed on a
     DOS based machine, but none have been tested on a Macintosh. 
     If you have information on viewers for the Macintosh, please
     send that as well.

     Questions or comments about the CONTENT of the exhibit
     should be sent to vatican@kell.loc.gov.

available by anonymous FTP from seq1.loc.gov (140.147.3.12) in
the directory /pub/vatican.exhibit.
