Some of the defendants are currently appealing the Paraguayan court decision to grant extradition. We are not aware of any specific threat to U.S. citizens related to these possible extraditions. However, groups sympathetic to the seven may nonetheless attempt to take revenge on U.S. citizens. U.S. citizens contemplating travel to Paraguay may wish to consider this when making their plans and take such security precautions as they deem appropriate. ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- The "travel-advisories@stolaf.edu" mailing list is the official Internet and BITNET distribution point for the U.S. State Department Travel Warnings and Consular Information Sheets.
