It is now up to the judge to pronounce sentence. The Department advises Americans traveling abroad that the potential exists for retaliation by Kasi's sympathizers against American interests. While we have no specific threat information, American citizens traveling abroad should pay close attention to their personal security practices overseas in light of the potential threat. This supersedes the Public Announcement of November 10, 1997, on Mir Aimal Kansi (alternative spelling). This Public Announcement expires February 17, 1998. ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- The "travel-advisories@stolaf.edu" mailing list is the official Internet and BITNET distribution point for the U.S. State Department Travel Warnings and Consular Information Sheets.
