These warrants were issued after the discovery and arrest of armed EZLN cells in Mexico and Veracruz. Although we have no specific information that acts of terrorism are being planned against Americans, the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City advises U.S. citizens to increase their security precautions while in Mexico and to postpone non-essential travel to Chiapas. U.S. citizens visiting or residing in Mexico City may contact the U.S. Embassy or any U.S. Consulate for further security information. ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- The "travel-advisories@stolaf.edu" mailing list is the official Internet and BITNET distribution point for the U.S. State Department Travel Warnings and Consular Information Sheets.
