While it is possible that terrorist events may occur for which the Department has no forewarning, the Department no longer believes it is necessary to defer travel to New Delhi. For current information, travelers may refer to the Consular Information Sheet on India by contacting the Citizens Emergency Center in the Department of State at 202-647-5225.
