Tensions within Guinea-Bissau continue due to outbreaks of armed conflict. The U.S. Embassy has temporarily suspended operations and all official Americans have departed Guinea-Bissau as of June 14. No. 98-022 This supersedes the Travel Warning issued on June 9, 1998 to reflect the temporary closing of the U.S. Embassy in Bissau.
