For Immediate Release

The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia issued a warning on 
February 21 to all Americans to avoid the Mercato area of Addis 
Ababa (a one-square mile outdoor market).  There exists the 
possibility for demonstrations, sometimes violent, which  are 
outgrowths of a dispute between leaders of the Muslim community.
