FLAN (SPANISH CARAMEL CUSTARD) Servings: 8 8 oz. milk 3 whole eggs 1 c. + 1 T. sugar 2 egg yolks 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk 2 tsp. vanilla extract Combine milk, 1 T. sugar, and all 5 eggs. Mix thoroughly. Slowly add condensed milk and vanilla. Place 1 c. sugar in saucepan. Heat, stirring constantly until it melts and browns like caramel. Combine with milk, and bake in a double boiler at 350F for 2 hours. Cool 20 minutes, then refrigerate overnight. Invert onto serving dish.
