NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH (NIH) GUIDE FOR GRANTS AND CONTRACTS

The National Institutes of Health distributes the NIH Guide for Grants
and Contracts weekly to the University of Pittsburgh Office of Research.
The Office of Research has given the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts
to Computing and Information Services (CIS) to be made available to the
PREPnet community.


The National Institutes of Health NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts
announces scientific initiatives and administrative information to
individuals and organizations regarding extramural programs administered
by the National Institutes of Health. The NIH Guide contains summaries
of recently published requests for proposals (RFPs) and the full text
requests for applications (RFAs).

For more information about any funding announcement, contact the
individual(s) identified in the file.  Before submitting an application
for any RFP or RFA, please get in touch with the contact person.


		HOW TO TRANSFER FILES


The following commands are required to transfer the NIH Guide for Grants
and Contracts to your personal directory:

$ ftp pitt.edu

Name (pitt.edu:wlf):  anonymous
anonymous Password (pitt.edu:anonymous):  331 anonymous user ok. Send
real ident as password.  

ftp> dir 

ftp> cd nihguide

ftp> dir

ftp> get 10-27intro-nih.gui
