One hundred and twenty-one papers (68 from Japan) will be presented in English in five sessions: Software Technology, Parallel Computing, AI, Advanced Information Systems, and Special Topics. There will be special addresses by Dr. H. Inose, Director General of National Information System, Ministry of Education, Mr. Steven P. Jobs on "Computing in the '90," and Mr. M. Shima on "Virtual Machine + ASIP = Silicon Solution for the Future". There will be 4 parallel tutorial sessions on the morning and afternoon of Oct. 1. Also there will be technical visits to NEC, NTT, Sony, NHK, Tokyo Stock Exchange, and Bullet Train Control Center. This will be a rare opportunity to understand the latest level of computing technologies in Japanese industry and academia. The organizers would like to encourage participation by anyone in USA or any other countries who is interested in Japanese computing technologies as well as others. The registration fee received by the end of August will be 50,000 yen. After that date the registration fee will be 60,000 yen. The fee for the student will be a half of it. The full-day tutorial fee will be 30,000 yen and a half-a-day tutorial fee will be 20,000 yen. (The conversion rate is approximately 150 yen per dollar.)
