This directory contains a list of online publice access catalogs
accessible over the Internet and the minutes of a workshop held in
June by the Network Resources Committee (NRC) of EDUCOM's
Networking and Telecommunications Task Force (NTTF).  

There are two file formats, each containing the same information,
with one in an ASCII text form and the other as a formatted
WordPerfect 5.0 document.  

The information presented in the directory of online public access
catalogs is presented largely as received, with only some minor
formatting and editing done.  It has not been comprehensively
checked for accuracy.  Users noting errors are encouraged to drop
a note to RLarsen@UMD5.UMD.EDU.  Additions to the directory are
always welcome and can be sent to the same address.  

This directory is being constructed informally and cooperatively,
and depends on the good faith of both contributors and users. 
Users are reminded that they are guests on the systems listed here.

A more formal listing of Internet-accessible resources is available
from the NSF Network Service Center and can be retrieved by
anonymous ftp from NNSC.NSF.NET, /resource-guide.
