Dear 919 Area Code Sysop: Why display an old, discontinued bbs listing with many wrong numbers on your bbs when you can display the latest 919 Area Code BBS Listing? The 919 Area Code BBS Listing has the latest numbers and changes made to all bbses in the 919 area code! In October 1995, Paul Newton began the 919 Area Code BBS list as a short ANSI/ASCII project. It evolved to include other formats (such as HTML), and several different dialing directories for various telecomm programs. After providing the list for over two years, time considerations and other commitments forced Paul to stop maintaining the list. With his permission and help, I took over the list in July 1997. I'm aiming at keeping the list as accurate and as timely as he did. Paul was even gracious enough to contribute the web page he designed for the list, which now has a new home at http://www.mhn.org/~bertha/919bbs . So here I am! I will work to keep the list accurate, and to keep it evolving over time to meet the changing needs of the BBS community. Please feel free to contact me with any suggestions for improvement; my various e-mail addresses are listed below (one for FidoNet should be available by the end of 1997). If you observe any inaccuracies about your board on the list, let me know ASAP! As always, boards that display the list on-line have a special notation to that effect on the list.
