How do I use Oddmu to write blog posts on my phone? Here’s a photo
documentary, so to speak. 😅



On the star page, there is a tiny form where I can start a new
blogpost by providing a name for it. Writing a story means writing
Markdown into a big text area. Save the text so far. Click the
upload link, set the desired with to 1280 pixels, and pick the
pictures. After uploading, the thumbnails are shown and I’m offered
to add them to the page where I clicked the upload links. Saving
brings up the page again, now with pictures. Click the add link and
replace the date with hashtags.

The only thing that doesn’t work to my satisfaction is that the
uploaded pictures don’t have alt texts. Now I need to edit the whole
page again and provide texts even though I can’t see the pictures.
There is a missing step, here, somewhere.

2026-08-06. A small change to the "upload.html" template shows the
Markdown to be added after the image upload in a textarea element so
that you can add the alt text.
